Parent Teacher Student Association

The Tates Creek Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a nonprofit organization that works to encourage family, student, and community involvement with the school. PTSA membership is only $5, and everyone is encouraged to join to show their support for TCMS. Our chapter meets at 6 p.m. on the fourth Monday after the SBDM council.

Throughout the year the PTSA sponsors the following events:

• Snack Shack - Year round
• Community Nights - TCMS and PTSA
• Gives Back Nights - Hosted by local restaurants in the area.

• Fall Ball
• Box Tops
• Staff Holiday Luncheon
• Valentine’s Dance
• Staff and Teacher Appreciation events

The PTSA partners with TCMS for many events throughout the year:

• Open House
• Literacy Night
• Science Night
• Titan Fun Day

Volunteering

The PTSA also organizes families and community volunteers to help the school with activities and providing baked goods and other donations. Volunteers are needed to help make all of the above events be a success! Additional volunteer opportunities include front door greeters, Tates Creek Celebration volunteers, volunteers for Picture Day, Lunchtime assistance, Healthy Lifestyles coordinator, testing chaperones, advocacy and legislation, and concessions.

It only takes one person to think, “I can volunteer for that!” and that person will have made a difference! Please consider making a difference through volunteering at TCMS.
